Live No Commission Baccarat Rules
Don’t worry if you have never played Baccarat before as it takes very little time to learn. The game is played with eight decks of cards shuffled into a shoe. The cards are dealt to two positions, Banker and Player, and you need to bet on which one will be closer to nine when the round is over.
As a result, the game has just three main bets, Banker, Player and Tie. However, there are a number of side bets that give you the chance to win more and that make the game even more exciting.
When building a hand, the number cards 2 to 10 are worth their face value, Aces are worth 1 and the face cards (Jack, Queen and King) are all worth ten. When calculating the value of a hand, if it is worth more than 10 then 10 is subtracted from the total, e.g. a hand of 17 is worth 7.
How a Round Works
To start a round place your bet on the Banker, Player or Tie position as well as any side bets that you want to place. When the betting time is over the dealer deals two face-up cards to each positions.
Depending on the cards dealt, a third card may be dealt to either position. A hand is called a ‘Natural’ if it is worth 8 or 9 it will receive no further cards. If the Player hand is worth 5 or less then it receives a third card. If the Player hand does not receive a third card then the Banker hand will receive a third card if it is worth 5 or less but will not receive a third card if it is worth 6 or more.
If the Player hand has received a third card in some situations the Banker hand will also receive a third card. If the Banker hand is worth 2 or less then it receives a third card. If the Banker hand is worth 3 then it receives a third card as long as the Player’s third card was not an 8. If the Banker hand is worth 5 then the Banker will receive a third card if the Player’s third card was a 4, 5, 6 or 7. If the Banker hand is worth 6 then it will receive a third card if Player’s third card was a 6 or 7. The Banker will not receive a third card if the position has a total of 7 or higher.
Once all cards have been dealt you are paid for any winning bets.
The Player and Banker bets both pay at 1:1, unless the Banker wins with a 6, in which case it pays 0.5:1. The Tie bet pays 8:1.
