Stravaganza

Game Description

Stravaganza is a game similar to Blackjack in which you need to beat the dealer by amassing more points than he does. At the same time, the game gives you the chance to win two bonus payouts, and there is an optional progressive jackpot side bet that offers a number of huge payouts. How To Play Stravaganza is played with five decks of cards  and the object of the game is to have a point total that is higher than the dealer’s is. Card values are straightforward, number cards count as their face value, face cards (Jack, Queen, and King) are worth 10 points, and Aces are worth 1 point. The game has similarities with Blackjack; however, in Stravaganza you cannot go bust, the more points you have the better. To start a round you need to place your bet and then click on ‘Deal’. You are then dealt two face up cards and the dealer is dealt three facedown cards. Depending on your point total, you will then have the following options:

  • Money back– Receive your full bet back and end the round. You can do this if your point total is 5 or less.
  • Rescue bet– Receive half of your bet back and end the round. You can do this if your point total is between 6 and 9.
  • Sit– Keep playing with two cards and your original bet. You can do this if your point total is 10 or more.
  • Play on– Place a second bet (same size as the first), receive a third card, and keep playing. You can always do this.
The dealer will then reveal his hand. If the dealer’s point total is higher than yours is then you lose both bets. If your point total is higher than the dealer’s is then you win 1:1 on both bets. If the dealer’s hand includes a red ace as the first card, you lose your first bet. If you’ve placed a second bet, you get that back. The point totals are irrelevant. If the dealer’s hand includes a red ace as the second or third card, you lose both bets. This overrides the previous rule. The point totals are irrelevant.

Bonus Payouts and Progressive Jackpot

The game gives you the chance to win a bonus payout on your three-card hand. If you hand makes up Three of a Kind (three cards of the same value) in range of 5s up to Kings then you win a payout of 3x your first bet. If you hand contains three face cards of any rank then you will win a payout of 1.5x the first bet. You can place a side bet to try to win the progressive jackpot. You need to click on the coin slot above the bet areas to place the bet. You will win the entire jackpot if you are dealt three Kings of Hearts. You win 10% of the jackpot if you are dealt three identical face cards. You will win 100x your side bet if you are dealt Three of a Kind of Jacks to Kings. You will win 50x your side bet if you are dealt Three of a Kind of 5s to 10s. You will win 10x your side bet if you are dealt a point total of 30.
