How To Play
Jacks or Better 10-Line is a very simple video poker game. It is based upon five-card draw and you just need to form the best possible poker hand to win a payout.
To start a round you first need to set your coin size and how many coins you wish to bet per hand, from one to five. You can use the ‘Bet One’ button to add one coin to your bet or just click on ‘Bet Max’ to bet five coins and start the game.
If you look at the game’s paytable then you will see the different types of winning hand and their payouts. The paytable has five columns and these columns correspond to how many coins you bet per hand. For example, if you bet one coin per hand then you are playing for the first column but if you bet five coins per hand then you are playing for the fifth column and the largest payouts.
After setting you bet click on ‘Deal’ to receive your first five cards. You can now choose which cards to hold. Any card that you choose to hold will be held across all ten hands. This means that if your first hand contains a winning combination you can hold it across all ten hands and be sure of winning ten payouts. The game automatically holds any cards that form a winning hand, but you can change this by clicking on the relevant cards. After deciding which cards to hold click on ‘Deal’ again to replace the remaining cards. You will then be paid out for any winning hands.
The lowest winning hand is Jacks or Better and it is followed by Two Pair, Three of a Kind, Straight, Flush, Full House, Four of a Kind, Straight Flush and a Royal Flush.
After winning you can play a Double Up game. You are offered the choice of ‘Double’, ‘Double Half’ or ‘Collect’. The first two options give you the chance to bet your winnings, or half of your winnings, to try to double the payout. You are shown a face-up card and need to pick from four facedown cards to find one that is higher in value. If you pick correctly then you can keep repeating the process until you hit the game’s double up limit.
As explained above, the payouts change according to how many coins you have bet. If you are betting one coin per hand then Jacks or Better pays 1x, Two Pair pays 2x, Three of a Kind pays 3x, Straight pays 4x, Flush pays 5x, Full House pays 7x, Four of a Kind pays 25x, Straight Flush pays 50x, and a Royal Flush pays 250x.
If you are playing with more than one coin then the payouts are multiplied by how many coins you have bet. For instance, if you are playing with two coins then Two Pair would pay 4x (2 x 2). This rule is true for all hands except for a Royal Flush, which offers a boosted payout of 4000x if you are betting five coins per hand.
If you want to play for the progressive jackpot then you need to bet the maximum five coins. You then win the jackpot if you first hand, i.e. the one that the cards are dealt to, contains a Royal Flush.
